Senior Plant Operator

About the role

Gold Fields Ghana is looking for an experienced Senior Plant Operator to join its Metallurgy department at the Tarkwa site. You will be responsible for daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with metallurgical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain control of the assigned area in line with operating procedures.
• Ensure all circuits are free of hazards and report any anomalies to the supervisor.
• Report security concerns and unsafe acts promptly.
• Promote good housekeeping and safety practices on the plant floor.
• Guarantee compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 environmental and occupational health standards.

Required profile

• Junior High School Certificate or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar plant operating role.
• Basic knowledge of external reagent standard operating procedures.
• Familiarity with CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Hands‑on attitude and willingness to achieve results.
• Mobile equipment licence and mine permit are advantageous.
