Senior Plant Operator - Metallurgy

About the role

Gold Fields Ghana is looking for an experienced Senior Plant Operator in its metallurgy department at Tarkwa. The incumbent executes daily routine work according to plan, coordinates and follows set controls in line with metallurgical standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the area of operation under control in line with operating procedures
• Maintain all circuits free of hazards
• Report anomalies on circuit equipment to the Supervisor
• Report all security and unsafe acts to the Supervisor
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices
• Comply with the highest safety standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements

Required profile

• Minimum Junior High School certificate
• At least two years' experience in a similar position
• Basic knowledge of external reagent standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work with people of diverse cultures
• Hands-on approach and willingness to commit to the required results
• A mobile equipment licence and mine permit are an added advantage
