Senior Production Technician

About the role

CB&I Asset Solutions is seeking a Senior Production Technician for a 24‑month contract in Ghana. The role focuses on executing preventative and corrective production maintenance on topside process and utility systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the FPSO facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventative production work, shutdowns, isolations and planned production tasks using the CMMS.
• Carry out first‑line maintenance on topside process/utilities and complete all required test and inspection routines.
• Monitor operating parameters, diagnose faults, and report issues promptly to the Production Supervisor.
• Perform weekly safety and production‑critical equipment checks and raise work orders in the production management system.
• Conduct fault‑finding and diagnostic checks on vessel equipment, ensuring timely repairs.
• Relieve the Control Room Operator during breaks and mentor junior production staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all production engineering activities.
• Support engineering efforts to preserve the technical and performance integrity of the FPSO facility.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in production maintenance within oil & gas or energy assets.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements, work‑permit systems and emergency procedures.
• Familiarity with topside plant equipment, FPSO operations and related documentation.
• Ability to work independently, follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) usage.
• Maintenance management system and production management system operation.
• Fault finding and diagnostic checks on vessel equipment.
• Control room operations and shift relief.
• Understanding of FPSO facility processes.
