Social Marketer

About the role

Chowdeck is seeking a Social Marketer to shape how the brand appears across the internet. You will own the social presence beyond owned channels, ensuring the brand joins relevant conversations, partners with creators, and becomes part of everyday online culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop social distribution plans for major marketing campaigns, targeting high‑engagement conversations.
• Own and execute Chowdeck’s presence on Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Snapchat, Facebook and YouTube, managing calendars and campaign roll‑outs.
• Lead real‑time participation in cultural moments (e.g., BBNaija, AFCON, elections) by operating social war rooms and producing reactive content.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with UGC creators, meme pages, entertainment blogs, micro‑influencers, campus creators and fan communities.
• Manage community engagement, respond to comments, encourage user‑generated content and handle customer issues.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters and videographers to create platform‑optimized content, providing clear briefs.
• Develop toolkits such as asset libraries, templates and trend briefings to streamline creator collaborations.
• Track and report organic reach, engagement, shares, saves, video completion, UGC volume, brand mentions, sentiment and referral traffic, using insights for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in social media, brand marketing, creator marketing or community building.
• Proven track record growing consumer brands online.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian internet culture and strong editorial instincts.
