Social Media Content Creator Intern

About the role

We are looking for a remote volunteer Social Media Content Creator to help raise awareness of SkillsPad, a digital commerce platform for African knowledge workers. You will craft and publish engaging content across multiple social channels to attract creators, educators, and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain content calendars aligned with product launches and campaigns.
• Create social‑ready posts, graphics, and short‑form videos (text, images, video) for platforms such as Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Repurpose platform updates into compelling stories and monitor comments and messages to foster community engagement.
• Track basic performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Strong storytelling and copywriting abilities tailored to social media audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team and meet deadlines.
• Interest in digital commerce, creator economies, and supporting African knowledge workers.

Required skills

• Basic visual design or video editing using tools such as Canva or CapCut.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and their best practices.
