Software Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead our development team, drive architectural decisions and ensure delivery of high‑quality, scalable solutions. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape the technical direction and oversee the full software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and coordinate software design options, balancing analytical judgment, team input and customer interests.
• Research emerging technologies and advise on their integration into product offerings.
• Ensure code is highly available, reusable, modular and optimized for performance.
• Design data‑exchange interfaces using modern web and data‑sharing standards and integrate third‑party services.
• Produce comprehensive technical design documentation and oversee development against functional and technical specifications.
• Report operational metrics, statistical analyses and improvement plans to senior management.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports, set performance targets, conduct reviews and manage training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong conflict‑resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and hold self and others accountable.
