Stock Control Officer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Stock Control Officer to manage wholesale inventory for a leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana. The role is based in one of the Accra suburbs – Odorkor, Dzorwulu, Spintex or East Legon – and focuses on ensuring product availability while preventing expiries and over‑stocking.

Key responsibilities

• Issue products according to invoices/delivery notes and apply the First Expired, First Out (FEFO) principle.
• Cross‑check issued products against invoices before delivery.
• Monitor shelf life, segregate and label expired items to avoid sale.
• Participate in weekly requisition of low‑stock items and prevent stock‑outs.
• Track stock levels and maintain sufficient supplies to meet customer demand.
• Update stock records in computer systems in liaison with the supervisor.
• Conduct random stock checks and audits to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Assist customers with product purchases and prepare regular stock reports.

Required profile

• HND in Purchasing and Supply, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar stock control or inventory role.
• Residence in Odorkor, Dzorwulu, Spintex or East Legon.
