Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will ensure the stability, performance and lifecycle management of the Ericsson Wallet Platform, a financial solution used by millions across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for system stability, patching, failover preparation and verification.
• Investigate, debug and reproduce incidents, deliver fixes or work‑arounds and verify changes.
• Coordinate proactive and reactive maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and application upgrades.
• Prepare incident reports, secure root‑cause analyses and contribute to meeting Managed Services SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage release and deployment processes and act as the primary customer interface for change and service requests.
• Mentor junior engineers and create knowledge‑base documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Ability to work shifts, including outside business hours and on‑site when required.
• Experience in the financial or mobile commerce sector is a plus.
