Technical Presales Engineer

About the role

Techland IT Solutions Ltd, a Ghanaian technology company providing full-spectrum IT solutions to public and private sector organisations, is hiring a Technical Presales Engineer in Greater Accra. The role acts as a solutions architect and trusted technical advisor, working with Sales and Technical teams to scope, design and deliver solutions, lead technical engagements, respond to RFPs/RFIs, give product demonstrations and support proposal development.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client needs with the Sales team through meetings, site visits or discovery calls and turn business problems into technical solutions.
• Design end-to-end IT solutions covering networking, data centers, cybersecurity, cloud, software and IP telephony, and create architecture diagrams, Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.
• Provide technical input for RFP/RFI responses, including system design write-ups, compliance matrices, datasheets, pricing models and cost justifications.
• Deliver product demos, webinars and proof-of-concepts, and coordinate with OEM partners such as Cisco, HPE, Fortinet, Dell, Microsoft, SeamlessHR, APC and Sophos.
• Hand over completed projects to the delivery team and keep technical documentation complete.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in presales engineering, systems design or IT consultancy.
• Preferred certifications: Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (Azure Administrator, M365), Fortinet NSE, Sophos, CompTIA, HPE ATP or similar.
• Familiarity with Ghanaian public sector tendering processes is an advantage.

Required skills

• Networking (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/Wi-Fi), firewalls, servers and storage, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, cloud backup and disaster recovery
• VoIP/PBX, video surveillance, firewall policies and endpoint security
• Basic understanding of web/mobile apps, APIs and ERP/HRM platforms
• Technical writing: BoMs, Visio diagrams, SoWs and cost justifications
