Transport Control Clerk

About the role

The Transport Control Clerk will coordinate driver rosters and fleet movement schedules for airport transfers and pick‑up arrangements across Obuasi, Kumasi and Accra. The role supports the mine’s operational efficiency by ensuring transport activities align with safety, environmental and cost‑effectiveness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce daily work rosters and driver schedules for all transport activities.
• Develop and maintain the fleet movement schedule for airport and site transfers.
• Conduct periodic audits of vehicle and driver documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Organise information for condition‑monitoring checks and ensure pre‑start checks are completed.
• Generate SAP work requests for vehicle maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Monitor asset health, collect oil and vibration data, and support troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
• Identify and communicate potential cost‑reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum MET I Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
• At least 2 years of experience in transport or logistics coordination.
• Ability to work under total quality management principles and adhere to safety and environmental plans.

Required skills

• SAP for maintenance work request creation.
• Condition monitoring of vehicles and rotating equipment.
• Oil analysis for engines and transmissions.
• Vibration analysis for machinery diagnostics.
• Use of asset health monitoring systems.
