Treasury Officer

About the role

The Treasury Officer supports the day-to-day operations of the Treasury function, covering cash management, banking activities, payment processing and financial recordkeeping. The role handles routine treasury transactions, keeps accurate records, monitors payments, prepares reports and banking documentation, and ensures compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments on banking platforms and post them in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely recording.
• Prepare bank instruction letters and follow up until the required approvals and authorisations are obtained.
• Track payments and follow up with banks so they complete within the required timelines.
• Monitor and report bank payment statuses and incidents, escalating failed, rejected, delayed or outstanding payments.
• Assist with bank communications and treasury reporting, including timely submission of KYC documentation.
• Track intercompany transfers and call back beneficiaries to verify third-party bank account details.
• Maintain treasury records and comply with internal control policies and procedures.
• Respond to enquiries from internal departments, auditors, suppliers, customers, banks and other stakeholders.
• Perform other treasury-related and ad hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in banking or treasury-related courses.
• 1 year of experience.
• Problem-solving and analytical ability, with good time management and attention to detail.
• Team player who works productively.
