Videographer

About the role

MGA Consulting Ghana Ltd is hiring a Videographer to plan, shoot and edit high-quality video content for its programmes, events and digital platforms. The role covers studio interviews, events, training sessions and on-location shoots, editing footage into finished videos and short-form clips, and managing the equipment and media files used in production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan shoots with the production team, including shot lists, locations, schedules and equipment needs, and prepare studio and location setups.
• Coordinate recording logistics with hosts, guests and team members.
• Operate cameras to capture interviews, discussions, events, trainings and workshops, and set up multi-camera recordings with consistent framing, focus, exposure and colour.
• Edit raw footage into polished, publish-ready videos and prepare audio versions for podcasts and audio platforms.
• Create short-form clips for platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram, adapting them to the right formats and aspect ratios.
• Maintain, store and back up video, audio and lighting equipment, and report faults promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Film and Video Production, Media and Communication Studies, Journalism, Multimedia, Visual Arts or a related field; equivalent practical experience also considered.
• At least two years' experience in videography, video production or a related role.
• Portfolio or showreel showing filming and editing work, including interview-style content and short-form social media videos.
• Good understanding of composition, lighting and visual storytelling, and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexible hours and willingness to travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, motion graphics or audio editing tools is an added advantage.
