Volunteer for AfCFTA Youth & Campus Events

About the role

The AfCFTA Youth & Campus Connect initiative is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help organise and deliver campus‑based events that promote the African Continental Free Trade Area. Based in Koforidua, you will work directly with students, local partners and the programme team to create engaging workshops, information sessions and outreach activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, setting up and executing youth and campus events.
• Support event logistics such as venue preparation, material distribution and participant registration.
• Engage with attendees, collect feedback and ensure a positive experience.
• Help with communication tasks, including sharing updates and distributing promotional materials.
• Collaborate with team members, student groups and community partners to coordinate activities.
• Provide basic administrative support and document event outcomes.
• Contribute ideas to improve youth engagement and outreach strategies.

Required profile

• Clear and professional communication skills with students, staff and community members.
• Strong interest in youth development, education, entrepreneurship or African economic integration.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities for event support.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to build positive relationships.
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative and adapt to changing tasks.
• Availability to be physically present in Koforidua for scheduled activities.
• Previous volunteer or community engagement experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
