Workforce Development Specialist (ATVET) – 5‑month consultancy

About the role

The consultancy seeks an experienced ATVET and Workforce Development Specialist to support TVET system reform and competency‑based training initiatives in Ghana for a five‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and integration of competency‑based training (CBT) frameworks.
• Design and implement Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Workplace Experience Learning (WEL) programmes.
• Facilitate industry partnerships and align training with labour‑market needs.
• Strengthen institutional quality assurance, accreditation processes, and workforce development strategies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Education, Agricultural Education, Human Resource Development or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in TVET reform, CBT, curriculum development, RPL, WEL, industry collaboration and workforce development.
• Proven understanding of institutional strengthening, quality assurance, accreditation systems and labour‑market‑responsive skills development.
