Cashier – Full Time

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a reliable Cashier to join its front‑of‑house team at the Airport City location in Accra. This full‑time position involves handling all payment methods, maintaining cash control standards, and delivering courteous service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, credit, and other payment methods in line with accounting policies.
• Perform blind drops, count the bank at shift end, and complete cashier reports.
• Transport and secure the bank, set up the workstation with required supplies, and keep the area clean.
• Open the station each shift, ensuring all tools and forms are ready for operation.
• Adhere to safety, security, and uniform standards while maintaining confidentiality of company information.
• Greet guests professionally, respond to service needs, and handle telephone inquiries with proper etiquette.
• Use computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems to enter and retrieve transaction data.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior cash‑handling experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies.
