Payment Switching and Terminals Engineer

About the role

The Payment Switching and Terminals Engineer provides end‑to‑end application support for payment processing platforms, ensuring system stability, efficient incident resolution, and successful implementation of new enhancements. The role acts as a bridge between business lines, operations, and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver application support, system administration, technical troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, develop UAT test plans and ensure release quality.
• Review existing solutions, propose improvements and manage risk within the organization.
• Lead development of unit and integration testing plans, scripts, enhancements and custom interfaces.
• Prepare and deploy devices, perform system set‑up for customers and ensure compliance with risk appetite.
• Document business needs, identify product enhancements and assess development impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in payments products or operations (Treasury Management, Card Services, Global Payments).
• Proven experience supporting EFT platforms and payment channels.
• Strong background in relational database management (Oracle or MS SQL).
• Experience handling sensitive/confidential information and working with remote teams.
