Research Quality Specialist – Computational Biology (Remote)

About the role

This short‑term contract position focuses on creating and reviewing high‑quality computational biology problems for graduate‑level research and education. The role is fully remote and requires close collaboration with reviewers and team leads to ensure scientific rigor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original research‑grade computational biology problems using Python.
• Define problem categories, assign tags, and set difficulty levels.
• Solve problems with accurate scientific and computational methods.
• Participate in two‑tier reviews to assess problem and solution quality.
• Collaborate with reviewers and leads to refine content.
• Maintain high standards of analytical rigor and scientific accuracy.

Required profile

• PhD or PhD candidate in Computational Biology.
• At least one peer‑reviewed publication.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active LinkedIn profile.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Python programming for scientific coding.
