Safety, Health & Environment Officer

About the role

The Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Officer will be based at Nestlé's Tema manufacturing plant and will lead the operational activities that maintain and improve the factory’s SHE management system. The role aims to achieve zero accidents, minimise environmental impact and ensure compliance with ISO certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Implement SHE operational controls and checklists to guarantee safe operations.
• Coach and support factory staff and external service providers on SHE practices.
• Deliver training, sensitisation and onboarding for new employees and contractors.
• Maintain and continuously improve SHE management systems, supporting ISO certification maintenance.
• Assist SHE SPOC and representatives in achieving SHE objectives and promote SHE awareness.
• Manage SHE performance data, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions and audits.
• Oversee waste‑management processes and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Lead environmental impact studies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, or Health & Safety.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar SHE role, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
