Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Accra. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will lead financial reporting, budgeting and compliance activities, supporting ECHT’s mission to deliver reliable emissions monitoring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Oversee payroll administration and related tax filings.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure adherence to auditing standards.
• Maintain tax compliance and liaise with tax authorities.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial guidance to senior management to achieve corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a corporate or environmental sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
