Corporate Credit Manager

About the role

The Corporate Credit Manager joins the corporate team as the credit expert for a defined portfolio of high‑value, complex customers. Working closely with nominated Relationship Managers, the role drives credit solutions, prepares applications for sanctioning and ensures ongoing portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customers' businesses and analyse credit and business risks (≈60% of time).
• Design practical credit structures and prepare high‑quality credit applications with supporting documentation for final approval.
• Maintain accurate financial information and integrity of credit reporting within the core banking system.
• Monitor portfolio performance, trigger condition reviews and discuss concerns with the sanctioning authority.
• Partner with Relationship Managers on new and existing credit requests, providing guidance on credit appetite and attending customer meetings when credit issues arise (≈20% of time).
• Contribute to change‑management initiatives, process improvements and industry‑specific support (≈10% of time).

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate credit analysis and risk assessment.
• Ability to develop and present credit solutions for complex, high‑value customers.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial data accuracy.
• Effective collaboration with Relationship Managers, accountants, solicitors and other professionals.
• Commitment to maintaining portfolio quality and adhering to internal credit policies.
