About the role
We are looking for a highly qualified Physics Expert to work remotely on a short‑term contract. The role involves designing and solving advanced physics problems to evaluate large language models, with a focus on clear, step‑by‑step reasoning.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve challenging physics problems for LLM evaluation.
- Create detailed, step‑by‑step solutions with thorough reasoning.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers on benchmark development and reasoning tasks.
- Help define new evaluation benchmarks ranging from undergraduate to PhD‑level physics.
- Analyze complex physics problems using a logical, structured approach.
- Explain physics concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and reasoning.
Required profile
- Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and creative thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
What we offer
- $450 per approved task.
- Remote work with an 8‑hour daily commitment and 4‑hour overlap with PST.
- 11‑week contract starting immediately.
