About the role

BlueCrest University College is launching a School of Health Sciences in Ghana and seeks a visionary leader to serve as its Founding Dean. This senior academic position will shape the school’s strategic direction, curriculum, and culture from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch the BSc Public Health and Master of Public Health programmes, with a Nursing programme to follow.
• Integrate health informatics and digital health as core components across all curricula.
• Lead accreditation and regulatory compliance for West African higher‑education standards.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage faculty and support staff.
• Establish strategic partnerships with health organisations, NGOs, and industry.
• Develop the school’s budget, governance structures, and long‑term growth plan.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant health‑sciences discipline.
• Proven experience in academic leadership and programme development.
• Deep understanding of the regulatory and accreditation landscape in West Africa.
• Demonstrated ability to build an academic institution from inception.
• Commitment to embedding digital health literacy in health education.
