Tour Operations & Experiences Manager

About the role

True Culture Travel is seeking a passionate and organised Tour Operations & Experiences Manager to design and deliver unforgettable cultural journeys across Ghana and beyond. You will create heritage‑focused itineraries for local and international travellers, especially diaspora visitors from the USA, UK, Europe and the Caribbean. The role blends strategic planning with hands‑on coordination in a collaborative remote team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate scheduled tours, private tours and cultural experiences.
• Create engaging itineraries for local and international travellers.
• Coordinate hotels, transport, restaurants, attractions and local partners.
• Support tour guides before, during and after tours.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and experience providers.
• Assist with tour pricing, logistics, operations and customer experience.
• Help improve tour quality and operational processes.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on tour information and campaigns.
• Contribute ideas for new experiences and destinations.
• Occasionally support evening and weekend operational activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in tourism, tour operations, hospitality or a similar role.
• Strong experience as a tour guide with operational exposure is also considered.
• Education in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel, Business or a related field is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Ghana’s tourism and cultural landscape.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Flexible, proactive and able to work independently and within a team.
• Passion for culture, heritage, travel and creating meaningful experiences.
• Must not be currently running own travel or tour business.
• Candidates based in Accra are preferred, though remote candidates may be considered.
