Assurance Staff / Assistant (Fixed-Term Contract)

About the role

EY is hiring an Assurance Staff/Assistant on a six-month fixed-term contract in Accra and the Tema region. You will join an engagement team and work on audit engagements across sectors such as financial services, energy and utilities, oil and gas, mining and metals, telecommunications, industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, and real estate.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of an engagement team and interact professionally with clients.
• Collect and analyse the data and information needed for audit engagements.
• Perform substantive audit testing and document the work completed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, complete and high-quality working papers.

Required profile

• First degree from a recognized tertiary institution, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; a minimum of a Second-Class Upper degree or its equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant experience in Audit or Assurance, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Associate membership of ACCA, ICAG or another recognized professional accounting body.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality and accuracy, and ability to work in a team across multiple engagements.
