Assurance Staff / Assistant (Six-Month Fixed-Term)

About the role

EY is hiring an Assurance Staff/Assistant on a six-month fixed-term contract. You will join an engagement team and work on audit engagements across many sectors where EY is a market leader, including financial services, energy and utilities, oil and gas, mining and metals, telecommunications, industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, and real estate.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of an engagement team and interact professionally with clients.
• Collect and analyse the data and information needed for audit engagements.
• Perform substantive audit testing and document the work completed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, complete and high-quality working papers.

Required profile

• First degree from a recognized tertiary institution, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; minimum a Second-Class Upper degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in Audit or Assurance, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Associate membership of ACCA, ICAG or another recognized professional accounting body.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, teamwork ability and interest in the different areas of Assurance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
