Business Manager – Farm Mechanization & Rent‑to‑Own

About the role

Farmerline is launching a new farm mechanization and rent‑to‑own (RTO) business in Ghana for 2026. The Business Manager will lead this operation, coordinating with existing Farmerline teams, independent operators, repairers, and AgroChampions to turn a USD 2 million equipment investment into a profitable venture from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve annual revenue targets for mechanization and RTO services.
• Set fair and profitable pricing for all services.
• Maximize machine utilization and minimize idle time.
• Collaborate with Commercial Managers to secure farmer groups and commercial clients.
• Strengthen customer loyalty and encourage repeat service use.
• Plan weekly service schedules with AgroChampions and ensure reliable, timely delivery.
• Design simple, fair repayment and down‑payment plans for the RTO program.
• Use digital tools to train farmers and AgroChampions, monitor repayments, and manage late follow‑ups.
• Prevent fraud and maintain accurate payment tracking.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing agribusiness or farm‑service operations.
• Ability to lead a new business unit and work cross‑functionally with field teams.
• Strong analytical mindset for pricing, revenue tracking, and utilization metrics.
• Excellent communication skills to engage farmers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Commitment to delivering sustainable income opportunities for farming communities.
