Cashier – On-site role in Kumasi

About the role

The Cashier is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kumasi. You will handle daily financial transactions, receive payments, issue receipts and provide courteous support to learners, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive payments and issue receipts for tuition fees and other charges.
• Maintain accurate cash records and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
• Verify transaction details and assist with fee‑related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and uphold transparency.
• Collaborate with finance and administration teams to prepare basic reports and support audits.

Required profile

• Strong numerical skills and basic accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and spreadsheet software.
• Clear, professional communication and ability to interact respectfully with students, staff and visitors.
• High attention to detail, reliability and integrity when handling funds.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Kumasi and perform efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience as a cashier, teller or in customer service is preferred; experience in an educational or nonprofit setting is an advantage.
• Secondary school certificate required; additional training in finance, accounting or business administration is a plus.
