Center Director – Academic & Operations Lead in Accra

About the role

The Center Director will lead SIT’s Ghana‑based experiential learning programs, ensuring academic excellence, operational efficiency, and high student satisfaction. Reporting to the Office of Global Operations, the role combines curriculum oversight, student support, and center management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum design, teach one 3‑credit course per semester, and supervise student research projects and internships.
• Manage day‑to‑day center operations, budgeting, compliance, and local partnerships.
• Provide academic advising, cross‑cultural guidance, and well‑being support in collaboration with SIT’s student services.
• Lead a team of professionals to deliver programs on time and within budget.
• Participate in institutional service, thought leadership, and faculty rank applications.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in globalization, political science, development studies, African cultural studies, or a related field.
• Significant experience in higher‑education administration and program management.
• Familiarity with Ghanaian higher‑education context and U.S. university standards.
• Proven teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
