About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Class Teacher to join Merton International in Accra. The role involves supporting children’s learning and development across reading, writing and science, while maintaining a safe and tidy classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Write the weekly home‑school diary in a professional manner.
- Read to children, listen to them read, and tell stories to foster literacy.
- Provide extra support to children who need help completing tasks.
- Teach basic science concepts and encourage self‑understanding.
- Supply tools and resources for learning and play activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse interests and learning styles.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and order at all times.
Required profile
- Entry‑level candidates with up to 24 months of relevant experience.
- Ability to report to work by 7:00 am and demonstrate punctuality.
- Commitment to supporting children’s basic needs during school hours.
