Commercial Reporting & O2C Manager

About the role

This senior position oversees the full financial lifecycle for Telecel Ghana's non‑postpaid and non‑wholesale customers, from order entry through billing and payment collection. The manager ensures accurate revenue recognition, cash receipt accounting, and alignment with the company’s strategic and cost‑effectiveness goals.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and authorize sales orders for airtime and devices across dealers, franchisees, corporate accounts and one‑time clients.
• Maintain bank guarantees for distributors and dealers, ensuring debt limits are respected.
• Direct daily billing and invoicing for customers outside the central billing system and manage reconciliations with interconnect partners.
• Ensure accurate daily payment postings into Oracle from RMS, Telecel Cash and third‑party channels such as Express Pay and E‑tranzact.
• Partner with credit and collections to resolve payment disputes and monitor airtime sales reconciliations.
• Track monthly deferred‑revenue movements between Oracle and subsystems and evaluate bad‑debt provisions.
• Review monthly commission accruals and lead the annual financial statement audit for the Telecel Foundation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Active membership with ACCA, CPA, CIMA or ICAG.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to work across Finance Operations, Revenue Assurance, Credit & Collections and Business Units.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems, especially SAP.
• Extensive experience using Oracle for financial posting and reporting.
• Advanced reconciliation and financial reporting capabilities.
