Crew Coordinator – Maritime Crew Management

About the role

The Crew Coordinator ensures smooth end‑to‑end crew management for assigned vessels, handling planning, scheduling, documentation, compliance and communication with seafarers, clients and internal teams. This role is pivotal in maintaining crew rotation, welfare and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update crew rotation plans for designated ships.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, visa processing, medical examinations and onboarding procedures.
• Verify compliance with STCW, MLC, flag‑state and client‑specific requirements.
• Keep accurate records in the crewing system and generate crew reports for clients and management.
• Liaise with manning agents, training centres and port agents to facilitate crew movements.
• Address crew welfare issues, manage escalations and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Logistics.
• Maritime HR or crew management certifications are preferred.
• Awareness of STCW and MLC regulations is an advantage.
