Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s financial operations. This position combines strategic analysis with day‑to‑day decision‑making authority, ensuring smooth financial and administrative processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly and annual financial plans and management reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and benefits processing.
• Develop and monitor operational budgets, providing recommendations to increase revenue and reduce costs.
• Handle statutory tax filings, including SSNIT, PAYE, and withholding tax, within required timelines.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and maintain accurate billing and client payment records.
• Liaise with legal counsel on issues such as copyright, antitrust, partnerships, and licensing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good commercial awareness and business acumen.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling.
• Knowledge of Bank of Ghana regulations and other relevant statutory requirements.
