Hardware Technician

About the role

Hexagon is seeking a Hardware Technician to provide on‑site and remote support for mining system deployments. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software at customer mine sites, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with customers and internal teams.
• Execute project phases, load basic configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto field and server equipment following change‑management procedures.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and resolving issues.
• Administer service agreements and keep an up‑to‑date database of deployed systems and configurations.
• Write simple computer programs, back up data, and document procedures and reports.
• Act as escalation point for technical issues beyond the Project Engineers’ scope.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely, on‑budget deployments.
• Identify business risks, inefficiencies and market opportunities related to hardware solutions.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Experience providing both on‑site and remote technical support.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with project teams.
• Proactive attitude toward risk identification and process improvement.
