IT Specialist – Printer Maintenance

About the role

The IT Specialist – Printer Maintenance ensures the reliable operation of all printing equipment across the organization. You will handle routine upkeep, troubleshoot issues, and manage consumables to keep daily office workflows uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of printers and related peripherals.
• Respond to daily repair requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor printer performance and implement measures to reduce equipment failures.
• Manage distribution and inventory of consumables such as ink, toner, and ribbons.
• Maintain records of consumable usage, demand, and procurement status.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor communication, and warranty handling for spare parts.
• Oversee equipment lifecycle, including maintenance history and replacement planning.
• Provide basic desktop support and assist with structured cabling and network infrastructure within the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in printer maintenance, IT support, or similar technical roles.
• Familiarity with printer hardware, consumables management, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with inventory or spare‑parts management is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
