Manager, Cloud Delivery

About the role

The Manager, Cloud Delivery leads the end‑to‑end delivery, operation and governance of MTN’s public, private and hybrid cloud platforms. You will ensure the cloud environment is reliable, secure, performant and cost‑effective while supporting the organization’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of cloud platforms – design, build, operate, optimise and retire.
• Plan and execute migration waves, landing zones and workload transitions.
• Drive process standardisation, documentation and post‑implementation reviews to improve predictability.
• Oversee 24/7 operations, incident management and service restoration.
• Establish cloud governance frameworks, policies and compliance with ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
• Implement FinOps practices, cost governance and financial controls.
• Lead capacity planning, scaling strategies, patching, upgrades and technology refresh cycles.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code, automation (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD integration.
• Manage relationships with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and external service partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cloud delivery and operations in a large, regulated organisation.
• Strong understanding of multi‑cloud environments and hybrid architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce governance, security‑by‑design and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business teams.
