Payroll Consultant – MEA (Ghana & Nigeria)

About the role

The Payroll Consultant for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region will manage end‑to‑end payroll processing and ensure compliance across Ghana and Nigeria. Working within the People Services & Solutions shared‑services model, the role partners with the Managed Service Provider, Finance and HR teams to deliver accurate, timely payroll and uphold strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full payroll cycle for assigned countries, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness and timely execution.
• Validate employee data from MyHR and other sources, identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity before payroll runs.
• Coordinate with the MSP, Finance and HR to secure approvals, readiness and payment processing.
• Execute payroll calculations manually or via vendor systems and verify outcomes for correctness.
• Ensure payroll operations comply with statutory, tax and social‑security regulations in each jurisdiction.
• Liaise with government bodies for statutory submissions, inspections and queries.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support internal and external audit reviews.
• Handle payroll‑related queries through the case‑management platform (e.g., C4C), providing prompt and compliant responses.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Ghana or Nigeria at the time of application.
• Experience in payroll processing, preferably within a multi‑country environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and vendor interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MyHR for employee data management.
• Experience using C4C or similar case‑management platforms.
