About the role
The Labour Research & Policy Institute of the Trades Union Congress is seeking a researcher to contribute to its work on macro‑economic policy and the labour market in Ghana. The role involves analysing data, preparing project documentation and supporting policy‑focused research initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Write project plans, proposals and reports.
- Coordinate research projects and related activities.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform policy recommendations.
- Assess complex situations and make timely decisions.
Required profile
- Master's degree in Economics from a recognised university.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of the links between macro‑economic policy and the Ghanaian labour market.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team‑player attitude with ability to work collaboratively.
Required skills
- Proficiency in SPSS for data analysis.
- Knowledge of STATA (advantage).
- Background in statistics (advantage).
