Accountant – Real Estate (Accra & Tema)

About the role

The Happy Program is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its real‑estate team in Accra. You will support daily financial operations, assist with month‑end close, and help ensure compliance with company policies. This entry‑level position offers practical experience in a fast‑growing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain proper accounting records.
• Support payroll preparation and statutory deductions where required.
• Organise and maintain financial documents and filing systems.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience (National Service experience is an advantage).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
