About the role
The Assistant Reservations Manager supports the Reservations team at Accra Marriott Hotel by driving sales, managing bookings and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Reservations Manager and plays a key part in achieving revenue targets.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new reservation sales opportunities to meet personal and property revenue goals.
- Respond to incoming reservation requests, negotiate contracts and close bookings.
- Coordinate with Sales and Convention Services to process rooming lists, reservation cards and group forecasts.
- Monitor same‑day selling, manage wait‑lists and track no‑show reservations, applying appropriate billing instructions.
- Provide training, work assignments and performance guidance to Reservations Sales staff.
- Deliver service excellence throughout the customer journey to build loyalty and increase account share.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 2 years of experience in sales, guest services or front‑desk operations.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity and demand trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer‑service skills.
Required skills
