Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the operational delivery of World Vision’s social‑enterprise programmes in Ghana, turning the approved model into a revenue‑generating, mission‑aligned commercial operation. You will build systems, teams, partnerships and client relationships across water, sanitation, livelihoods, food security and community development streams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual Social Enterprise Operational Plan, translating strategy and budget into monthly schedules, resource allocations and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate activity scheduling across all enterprise streams to maximise asset utilisation and prioritise humanitarian emergency responses.
• Prepare monthly operational performance reports, including revenue tracking, cost variance analysis, pipeline status and risk assessments for senior leadership and donors.
• Manage the enterprise‑wide work‑planning system, ensuring clear weekly and monthly task plans for stream officers and support staff.
• Maintain the contract register for water services engagements, tracking delivery milestones and compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 6 years (72 months) of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in managing multi‑stream social‑enterprise or commercial operations and generating revenue.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience preparing board and donor updates.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with donors, investors, clients and community stakeholders.
