Chief Accountant – Finance Department Lead

About the role

Scanbech GH Ltd is seeking an experienced accounting generalist to take on the Accounting Manager role with overall responsibility for the Finance Department. The position offers a blend of managerial duties and specialist tasks, contributing to the company’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day bookkeeping
• Management of trade creditors and debtors
• Inventory management
• Payroll management
• Bank liaison and tax management
• Cost controlling and performance monitoring
• Preparation of management reports in line with IFRS
• Systems improvement projects, including ERP implementation
• Budgeting and financial planning with senior management
• Supporting upper management in financial strategy and general management tasks

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Background in manufacturing preferred
• Fluent in English and at least one Ghanaian language
• High standards of integrity and excellence
• Driver’s licence is an advantage
• Ability to supervise a motivated junior accountant
