Chief Supply Chain Officer

About the role

As Chief Supply Chain Officer you will design, scale and lead Jumia Ghana’s supply‑chain framework, providing decisive operational and strategic direction. You will build, mentor and directly manage a high‑performing team to ensure seamless order fulfillment across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and standardise best‑in‑class fulfillment and supply‑chain workflows nationwide.
• Recruit, train and scale robust fulfillment and logistics teams to support rapid growth.
• Oversee localized fleets and third‑party logistics networks, negotiating to optimise costs.
• Own business outcomes with daily, weekly and monthly KPI tracking and executive reporting.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Drive end‑to‑end project delivery for new operational initiatives and strategic assignments.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with strong entrepreneurial grit, exceptional leadership and independent follow‑through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable leading in culturally diverse environments.
• Proven crisis‑management, cross‑functional coordination and high‑stakes vendor negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Engineering or related field; professional certifications a plus.
• Solid commercial experience in e‑commerce, FMCG or fast‑paced multinational logistics operations.

Required skills

• Advanced data‑analytics capabilities, including proficiency in Excel, macros, pivot tables and workbooks.
• Deep understanding of e‑commerce best practices, digital supply‑chain dynamics and evolving customer and vendor behaviours.
