Co-ordinator General Merchandise – Regional Retail Operations

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Co-ordinator to drive merchandising execution across multiple stores in the region. You will act as the vital link between the support office, buying teams and store managers, ensuring product ranges, promotions and planograms are implemented consistently to boost sales and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of category plans, promotions, campaigns and new product roll‑outs.
• Coordinate communication between stores, regional operations and the GMD category management team.
• Monitor planogram compliance and provide feedback through regular reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of product listings, supplier details and price changes.
• Compile and distribute weekly sales, stock and promotional performance reports.
• Liaise with category buyers and planners on product availability and store allocations.
• Assist with the set‑up and execution of seasonal campaigns and special projects.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; diploma or degree in Retail Management or Business Administration is advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of retail management experience with a focus on general merchandise.
• Experience working with multiple store formats and regional teams.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as project demands require.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
