About the role
The Ghana Atomic Energy Commission seeks an experienced finance leader to oversee all financial and accounting functions. Reporting directly to the Director‑General, the Director of Finance will ensure sound financial management, compliance, and strategic budgeting for the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement finance and accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Manage the Commission’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.
- Direct the annual budgeting process and coordinate financial planning.
- Monitor quarterly financial performance against budget, strategic and operational goals.
- Prepare short‑ and long‑term financial and managerial reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as IRS, SSNIT, banking regulations, and external audit standards.
Required profile
- Professional qualification: ACCA, CA (Gh) or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance position.
- Experience in public‑sector accounting is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
