About the role
The Director of Finance provides strategic financial leadership and serves as the chief financial advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, overseeing all financial operations to ensure integrity, stability and sustainability of the University's resources.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic and financial leadership
- Budget development and management
- Financial reporting, control and compliance
- Management accounting and performance evaluation
- Treasury, payroll and stores management
- Technology, systems and process enhancement
- Stakeholder engagement and leadership
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ICA)
- At least 10 years of senior finance management experience
- High‑level analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong ethical standards and sound judgment
- Proven leadership with a track record of impactful decision‑making
Required skills
- Financial accounting and management systems
- Modern accounting software packages
- Resource allocation modeling and financial planning tools
