Director of Sales

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to join our team at ibis Styles Accra Airport City. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive sales strategies and maximise revenue for our world‑class hotel facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed MICE revenue targets.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and sales strategies.
• Oversee preparation, negotiation and closing of contracts and proposals.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows and networking functions.
• Monitor sales performance and report regularly to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 7‑10 years of sales experience with a proven record of exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing sales teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, revenue management and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Professional certifications such as CMP or CITP are preferred.

• Experience using sales analytics tools.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capabilities.
