Director, Program Finance – Africa Catalytic Investment Facility

About the role

The Africa Catalytic Investment Facility (ACIF) seeks a strategic finance leader to guide all financial operations across its portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, Programs Finance, the Director will act as a trusted business partner, ensuring sound financial stewardship while supporting fund and direct investments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide finance business partnership throughout the investment lifecycle, from due diligence to exit planning.
• Evaluate accounting, tax, and reporting implications of investment structures across jurisdictions.
• Support fund teams with financial analysis, budgeting, NAV tracking, and return modeling.
• Assist direct‑investment teams with partner financial reviews, tax matters, and third‑party due‑diligence coordination.
• Oversee reputational due‑diligence and engage external providers as needed.
• Review and contribute to internal investment memos from finance, tax, and reputational perspectives.
• Develop and refine financial systems, procedures, and internal processes to strengthen ACIF’s finance infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Mastercard Foundation Asset Management (MFAM) on reporting and procurement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, accounting, and tax within investment or fund environments.
• Proven ability to act as a strategic advisor and business partner to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset with agility to navigate a new, evolving platform.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
