Director / Senior Manager – Food & Agribusiness

About the role

Farrelly Mitchell is seeking a high‑calibre Director or Senior Manager to lead its Food & Agribusiness consulting practice in Accra (with regional responsibility for West and East Africa). The role offers ownership of client engagements, team development and the chance to shape the firm’s growth strategy across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior representative for the firm in Ghana, West Africa and East Africa, strengthening brand presence and credibility.
• Support the development and execution of Farrelly Mitchell’s Africa growth strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with governments, investors, agribusinesses and development partners.
• Identify, prioritize and pursue new market opportunities across the region.
• Originate, develop and convert high‑value consulting opportunities, maintaining a robust pipeline of work.
• Lead proposal preparation, tender negotiations and commercial engagements.
• Develop senior client relationships, positioning the firm as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Africa to shape regional strategy and drive business growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of consulting experience at senior manager or director level.
• Background in top‑tier consulting firms (Big 4, leading strategy consultancies) or equivalent.
• Proven track record in agribusiness, food systems or related investment projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead regional practice development and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong network with government bodies, investors and development partners in Africa.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
