About the role

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the driver will operate official UNICEF vehicles, ensuring safe transport of staff and secure handling of goods while maintaining vehicle condition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles for transporting authorized personnel and for delivery or collection of mail, documents and other items.
• Receive officials at the airport and assist with immigration and customs formalities.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres) and keep the vehicle clean.
• Report any defects, carry out minor repairs, arrange major repairs and ensure the security of the vehicle and its tools.
• Undertake any additional duties as required by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Professional driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years of continuous safe driving experience.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
• Commitment to UNICEF’s core values and a smoke‑free workplace.

Required skills

• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
• Basic auto‑mechanics knowledge for routine maintenance.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.
