Executive Private Chef (Accra, Ghana)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Executive Private Chef to run the household kitchen for a family of four in North Legon, Accra. The role is full‑time, on‑site and live‑out, offering autonomy over all kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and plate daily meals to hotel‑level standards, rotating Ghanaian and continental menus.
• Prepare school meal packs for two children and lunches for household staff.
• Organise and execute 1‑2 guest events serving up to 20 people, once or twice a month.
• Conduct weekly market runs, deep‑clean the kitchen and pantry, and prepare fruit platters and desserts on Wednesdays.
• Manage the weekly grocery budget, track spend and submit a monthly budget report.
• Supervise kitchen staff, enforce hygiene standards and maintain equipment.
• Perform day‑ahead prep such as marinating proteins and making stocks.

Required profile

• 3‑8 years of professional cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant or private household.
• Formal culinary training from a recognized school or program.
• Strong command of both Ghanaian and continental cuisine.
• Proven experience in budgeting, cost tracking and reporting.
• Commitment to cooking exclusively with fresh, natural ingredients – no bouillons, stock cubes or artificial flavour enhancers.
• Meticulous approach to food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
• Ability to work independently, proactively identify kitchen needs and supervise staff.
